Wow, this is great. I wrote a short story once about people starting to get sponsored individually, with ads on their clothes and, for the very poorest, ads on their skin. Not necessarily tattoos, but little glowing implants that shined thru their skin.
The idea was that the more garish or more humiliating the tattoo, the more it was “worth” because it would get more attention or be more memorable.
Imagine if you were hooking up with someone and took their shirt off and found an add for COKE under their sternum? That image would stick with you.
This reminded me of that. Yeah.
